Roman Pavlyuchenko’s agent has revealed that the Tottenham striker has an option to join Anzhi Makhachkala, but will wait to see what other clubs are interested in the January transfer window.
The Russia international has found first team opportunities at White Hart Lane scarce this season, and has stated his desire to leave the North London club in search of regular football.
QPR are reportedly interested in signing the attacker in the new year, but Anzhi have apparently made a solid offer for the forward.
“At the beginning, Roman absolutely ignored Anzhi,” agent Oleg Artemov told Tden.ru.
“He wasn’t against going back to Russia, but not to the Makhachkala-based team, but Pavlyuchenko is tired of the uncertainty and the lack of match action.
“He has a concrete offer from Anzhi in his hand. This offer is very good and profitable.
“Roman will accept it unless he gets a better offer,” he concluded.
Pavlyuchenko is behind Emmanuel Adebayor, Rafael van der Vaart and Jermain Defoe in Harry Redknapp’s preferences, and needs time on the pitch with Euro 2012 in the not so distant future.
